If it wasn’t for technology, I would have missed my baby shower
I’ve been on and off bed rest and back and forth to the hospital checking in on our little Zoie. Well, Zoie had her own plans as we were planning to go home for our baby shower. I had a few serious complications with the pregnancy and as a result I had to miss my baby shower back home in Chicago this weekend. Flying would have been a disaster! But despite my non appearance, their Love for both of us pushed forward and they still had a fabulous party!
It’s a wonderful feeling to know that you have family and friends who Love and care about you. The amazing thing is that while I was absent physically, I was able to be there through the amazing technology called “FaceTime,” and my lovely IPad Mini. My awesome Fiancé Sheldon made sure that I had an opportunity to see all my friends and family live and real time. I cried, laughed and had a great time as if I were there. Even my 50 something year old Uncle was amazed at the fact he could see me live. I think he thought it was space age. Lol
The Apple IPad mini Rocks and it made my life experience even more special and meaningful. Also, a baby shower would not be a baby shower with out good food. Thankfully for me my BFF Katrina is a culinary Chef!! Yes, from what I hear the food was the rave.
And I’m so grateful to have such a loving Fiancé, Family and Friends.
