We decided to take our trip to Disneyland for the very first time while we are actually in the process of relocating to another state. Our daughter is almost 3 years old and a total Minnie Mouse fan. We figured, why not drive to our new home and while we are at it, turn it into a week long fun family vacation.
Sounds like we have a lot going on? Yes! Packing, preparing for the movers, arranging for new schools, new home set up, etc…etc… Add to that just a little Disney vacation and that equals “A mad house.”
So since my life is caiotic, I thought I’d share a few of the details and tips that helped me plan our vacation.
There is so much information out there and no lt all sites provide you with the best knowledge. To start visit Disney.com and get familiar with the parks, tickets, etc. after you. Is it the official Disney site then make your way around the Internet. Check out mom sites and any and everything you can find.
You can’t go wrong with adding knowledge about the Disney parks.
Book your hotel early
This is an important one. Hotels in the area book out fast. If you want a double suite or connecting room you defiantly need research and book in advance. We ended up deciding on a hotel that it outside of the Anaheim area based on our travel route the next day. We booked Best Western Suite for both nights. Plenty of room for the girls and us.
Order fun products early
I have to admit this was the best part for me. I couldn’t wait to surprise the girls the morning we we were going. I made them both swag bags packed with Disneyland goodies. All my products were ordered direct from Amazon.com
Relax, have fun and go with the flow
Be sure to be prepared with the items you need most so you won’t get caught off guard. We knew our toddler wouldn’t be able to stand the heat and walking so we packed the stroller as well.
We didn’t really have a plan except for the time we wanted to do lunch. We knew we would stay till the end of the parade but our goal was to just have a fun and relaxing day. Go with the flow and it will be easy for the entire family.
Lastly, don’t forget to pack the Camara and Take lots of photos for memories and enjoy your family time.
