Tips on Thawing a Turkey with Limited Time- Happy Thanksgiving 

If you haven’t gotten started with thawing your frozen turkey in the refrigerator for tomorrow’s big dinner, there is still time to thaw it in its original packaging. 
So, if you’re limited on time then cold water thawing is the way to go. Follow these simple instructions.

  
Cold Water Thawing 
1. You will start by leaving your turkey in unopened packaging. Cover completely with cold water if possible.  

2. Change water every 3o-45 minutes to keep turkey surface cold. 

General rule: Allow 30 minutes per pound to thaw.
Cold Water Turkey Thawing Time

8 to 12 pounds: 4 to 6 hours

12 to 16 pounds: 6 to 8 hours

16 to 20 pounds: 8 to 10 hours

20 to 24 pounds: 10 to 12 hours
